Story of my Life by Lucy Score

This book is about an author who is down on her luck being forced to move out of her upper east side apartment and her publisher is FED up with her if she doesn’t turn in a book by next deadline she is Done. So in the middle of the night she buys a house in a small town on its last legs. This book is book one of a standalone series Story Lake, it has two books out so far. I love this book the main character is so funny and had me laughing the entire time, she is so relatable and real and I love her relationship with her best friend. I do not want to give too much away but this town is so cute and you can’t help but love every character (but one🫢) It has all the lake summer vibes and a hot grumpy contractor who so happens to be renovating her house. This is a must read it will make you feel all the feels and wishing you could move to this adorable little town.

Lake front billionaires series by Lauren Asher

The lake front billionaires series is a standalone romance series that follows three interconnected couples living in the town lake wisteria.( side note: the map in this series is adorable) Love redesigned is my favorite out of the books for this series. It follows Dahlia Munoz and Julian Lopez their families have always been friends and they were childhood rivals. Dahlia is moving back to her hometown after a lot has happened to her and her and Julian have to renovate a historic house together. Also the way Julian talks 🥵

My second favorite is Love unwritten and it follows Rafael and Ellie . Ellie is Rafael’s nanny and an upcoming song writer and her relationship with his son is so adorable and they go to Hawaii together which makes it double as a perfect beach read!

The last book in this series, I won’t lie fell a little flat for me but that doesn’t mean it will for you. It follows Lorenzo and Lily who enter a fake dating arrangement to save their career. This is usually right up my alley I think it was just a wrong time right book type of situation, I plan to give it another try and update you.

Starlight Grove series by Catherine Cowles

Across the Vanishing sky is a recent book I just read and I loved it. I feel like it’s in a unique genre thats hard to find which is mystery romance. It follows Braedyn Winslow who returns to the town her best friend disappeared in to try to figure out what happened to her, she also has a young son to raise( I love their relationship and her being a mom💖 ) and also a local Dex Acher just returned back to his hometown starlight grove and him and his family is a bit of a legend around the town because of their violent father. I won’t say anymore because I don’t want to give it away but it follows them and their story. I absolutely love the found family in this book it’s probably one of my favorite parts of it and the mystery and romance of course. For the second book I do not want to say anything about because I don’t want to give the ending away so this series is more of a trust me on this recommendation.
