I am not sure if I’ve read a book in the genre of mystery romance — this was my first one and I really liked it. It was one of my favorite romances I have read (not including like fantasy romances they are on a different level for me)

Across the vanishing sky is a small town romance (one of my fav fluffy sub genres) that follows Braedyn a single mom that relocates to a place called starlight grove to try to find her best friend who vanished there a year ago during a hiking trip. she ends up next door to Dex Archer a returned local who so happens to be a ” retired” hacker. Not everyone in town is a fan of Dex and his rumors of his violent family without giving too much away in this spoiler free section. One of my favorite aspects of this book is the found family of it all it is so adorable and the way braedyn never gives up on her best friend so sweet. Also I loved watching braedyn as a mom, and Dex I really liked him and his family I loved watching them come together and their relationship how he made her feel beautiful!

This hasn’t been the best reading year for me yet I have had like maybe one or two 6 stars since I am slowly going through zodiac academy and a couple of 5 star thrillers here and there but other than that it hasn’t been great a lot of slumps so when I first read this I was like Oh my Gosh 5 stars finally a romance I am obsessed with but then after thinking about it I decided on 4 stars because the plot was good yes, the romance yes, I would recommend it but it wasn’t like omg wow I wanna re read this over and over again anyway lets get into the spoiler review!

I loved the ending of this book her going back to where they hiked at and the Sheriff Miller was exposed as a corrupt person taking bribes from the people growing illegal marijuana but the book having you believe for a second it was him and them boom he got shot and travis takes her to where he kept her best friend and is exposed as a serial killer that took inspiration from Edmond Archer (Dex father) which I also loved that he was the son of a serial killer and it showing how that effected him and his brothers but anyway back on topic… Dex finding Brae and shooting travis and him falling in the river and brae losing hope and Kol calling saying he found Nova alive! I am so glad it was Kol who found Nova I don’t know who the love interest in Nova’s story is but her pov is heart breaking and I don’t know if I am ready.

This was such a good book loved the mystery romance genre!
