As you might know if you have read other post from me, I have been traveling a lot in July and August so I thought it would be fun to give you some audiobook recs for road tripping or long car rides. The best time to get through some series or a fun standalone! I put these in no particular order so…

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
I could not mention audiobooks with out recommending my favorite series and audiobook of all time ( reading vlog on my you tube coming soon 🥳) the 10th year anniversary editions in particular. I love Elizabeth Evans the audiobook narrator for these and throne of glass another god tier if you haven’t read drop what you are doing and start RIGHT NOW. lol. This series follows Feyre after she is brought into the faerie lands of Prythian. This series is everything to me, the way I connect to Feyre is unexplainable, this is a must listen/ read, you will actually feel like oh wow we are here already because of how absorbed you will be in this story after listening to this while on the road.

Red Rising By Pierce Brown
Red Rising is an amazing series and a great audiobook I love the narrator he does a wonderful job however WARNING I was sobbing like 10 minutes in I mean full on ugly cry. I have read the first 3 in this series and not the last 3 because I am terrified of them. Red Rising follows Darrow a lowborn miner as he infiltrates the ranks of elite golds. I will say I went in to this not knowing how I would feel and I rated every one 4.5 – 5 stars.

By A Thread by Lucy Score
I wanted to throw a couple of fun little stand alone romances on this list too and I love this audiobook. Note if you have never read lucy score I find her spicy scenes kind of cringe so please keep that in mind and the fact that this is spicy all of these on this list are adult rather it be spice or content that is being covered so keep that in mind😁 By a Thread is a ” enemies- to- lovers” more workplace rivals about Dominic and Ally and Dominic is Ally’s boss 😛 I love Ally this was such a fun read when I read this I inhaled it!

The Wolf King by Lauren Palphreyman
I love the wolf king and I am so excited for the 3rd installment in this series. The audiobook is so good the narrators did a phenomenal job it is duo narration which if you don’t know is one person reads one pov and another the other. Some things about this book is very ACOTAR coded but idc 6 stars I’m obsessed. It follows princess Aurora who is kidnapped by an alpha as war rages between humans and the wolves, leading to a all out war and forbidden romance ! there are only two books out right now too so you can finish it in like a weekend and be ready for book 3 .

None of This is True by Lisa Jewell
None of this is true by Lisa Jewell is the first podcast style audiobook I read and I was HOOKED. I prefer to go into books blind especially thrillers so I will only give you crumbs but popular podcaster Alix summer is celebrating her 40th birthday when she crosses paths with her birthday twin Josie Fair. a couple days later they run into each other again and Josie listens to Alix podcast and tells her she thinks she would be a good interview subject so Alix interviews her for the podcast. The story is told thru the podcast like this and in Alix pov as well and this book had me on the edge of my seat so so so so good!

Once Upon A Broken Heart by Stephanie Garber
This is just a comfort series for me I love how it just transports you to another world that’s why I added it to this list it is just so magical and whimsical and fun easy read. This follows Evangeline Fox and she has believed in true love as long as she can remember until she learns the love of her life will marry another… desperate to stop the wedding she strikes a deal with the prince of heart. I know I am starting to sound like a broken record but you have to read this. It would be in my god tier but the third book was like a 4 star so I couldn’t put it in.

Listen For the Lie by Amy Tintera
I recently read this well I listened to it because it is also a podcast style and it is so good. It follows Lucy and everyone thinks she killed her best friend savvy and Ben is a popular true crime podcaster who is covering this cold case. you have to listen to this if you read it over listening I feel like you are missing out!

The Plight Before Christmas by Kate Stewart
I am getting excited for the holidays and so of course I had to add a couple of holiday picks on here incase you are traveling for the holidays. The Plight Before Christmas is a fun, fluffy, heartwarming second chance romance. She is stuck at a cabin with her ex for Christmas who broke her heart two decades ago for a week. If you don’t know this about me I LOVE forced proximity trope and Christmas. I have re listened to this every year for the last couple of years and can’t wait to again this year!
02. ADDITIONAL holiday pick
The Christmas Fix by Lucy Score
Ok this is extremely hallmark like extremely but it’s perfect Christmas vibes, the tag line is literally “She will save Christmas just to spite them.” It follows reality tv star Cat King and a grumpy single dad Noah Yates, who have to work together to rebuild Merry Connecticut and save its Christmas festival after a late season hurricane. It’s so cute and cheesy and everything you love about Christmas romance!
